People don't understand that you can not let the government run our healtcare system. If you think that healthcare is expensive now, wait till it becomes universal healthcare. Universal healtcare will be much more expensive to the Americans than what we currently have. In addition, if you think HMO limits your access to healtcare, wait till the government intervenes in our healtcare system. You will have to wait 6 months or longer to have surgery done. I know this because I have studied the different healthcare systems in different countries for 20 years.
